Birmingham Bombshell owner, Angela Karen comments, “Having been touched by ovarian cancer personally through a dear friend of mine, this event is very important to me. Funding research at UAB is a vital component to hopefully discovering an accurate screening test for ovarian cancer in our lifetime. It’s my hope this fundraiser will raise money and educate young women on the importance of listening carefully to their bodies to detect the often vague and early symptoms of ovarian cancer.”
